Havenwood Farms is a small boarding and lesson facility located in Powder Springs, GA. We offer lessons in Huntseat, dressage, and jumping. Although we teach primarily English style riding, all disciplines are welcome.
Havenwood is a 6 acre facility with an outdoor riding arena, but we are located adjacent to Violet F. Stout Park, an 83 acre park designated for equestrian use. There are many nature trails in the park , and future plans for an arena and other facilities to be built in the park. For more information on Violet F Stout Park, contact Cobb County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs. www.cobbcountygov.org
At Havenwood Farms, we strongly emphasize safety. Riding helmets are required for all riders. Our horses are carefully selected to have the right temperment to be able to teach lessons on. We believe our studens should learn about ALL aspects of horsemanship and horse care in addition to learning how to ride safely and correctly. We also believe the art of horseback riding should be a mutually respectful, cooperative effort between horse and rider, and we believe in treating our horses with respect and kindness.
